The
South Pacific Mini Games will kick off on Monday 21st September on the island of Rarotonga.The mini games has been going since 1963 when Fiji was the host.Every four years the Pacific comes together in friendship to celebrate the South Pacific Games,a multi sport event that is by its very design of and for the Pacific.
Twenty-four years ago, in 1985 the Cook Islands hosted the second South Pacific Mini Games.This is like the Olympics for us islanders.The sports are diverse and has an obvious pacific influence with events like Va'a (vaka,waka,canoe)racing.
I wish I could be there but Im not so, if you get a chance, go and support our pacific people.Cook Islands is gonna win everything anyway.....ehehehe
